Surah Al-Fatiha, often referred to as “The Opening” or “The Opening Chapter,” holds a special and central place in the Islamic faith. It is the first chapter of the Quran, consisting of seven verses, and is recited in every unit of the Muslim prayer (Salah). This profound Surah is considered a spiritual guide, a source of guidance, and a key to unlocking the essence of the Quran.
Al-Fatiha begins with praising and glorifying Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate, acknowledging His sovereignty over the universe. The Surah then seeks guidance, emphasizing the need for Allah’s help to follow the straight path. It serves as a reminder of human dependence on the divine and the constant quest for righteousness.
اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ o
بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ﴿۱﴾
1.1 اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو بہت مہربان رحمت والا
1.1 अल्लाह के नाम से शुरू जो निहायत मेहरबान रहम वाला (1फ)
1.1 Allah – beginning with the name of – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾
1.2 سب خوبیاں اللہ کو جو مالک سارے جہان والوں کا،
1.2 सब खूबियाँ अल्लाह को जो मालिक सारे जहान वालों का
1.2 All praise is to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds (the entire Creation.)

الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ﴿۳﴾
1.3 بہت مہربان رحمت والا،
1.3 बहुत मेहरबान रह़मत वाला
1.3 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Surah Fatiha
مٰلِکِ یَوۡمِ الدِّیۡنِ ؕ﴿۴﴾
1.4 روز جزا کا مالک،
1.4 रोज़े जज़ा (इन्साफ के दिन) का मालिक
1.4 Owner of the Day of Recompense
اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَ اِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ﴿۵﴾
1.5 ہم تجھی کو پوجیں اور تجھی سے مدد چاہیں،
1.5 हम तुझी को पूजें और तुझी से मदद चाहें
1.5 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always).
Surah Fatiha
اِہۡدِ نَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾
1.6 ہم کو سیدھا راستہ چلا،
1.6 हमको सीधा रास्ता चला
1.6 Guide us on the Straight Path.
Surah Fatiha
صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۬ۙ غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَ لَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ ﴿۷﴾
1.7 راستہ ان کا جن پر تو نے احسان کیا، نہ ان کا جن پر غضب ہوا اور نہ بہکے ہوؤں کا
1.7 रास्ता उनका जिन पर तूने एह़सान किया न उन का जिन पर ग़ज़ब (प्रकोप) हुआ और न बहके हुओं का
1.7 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of the astray.
